Today, 5th November, BA withdrew 2 more of their B747 fleet.

G-BNLX was flown to Cardiff after arriving from Capetown. At Cardiff, it will be decommissioned which could mean having all the seats, galleys etc being removed before the aircraft goes off to the breakers. On the other hand, they could break it up entirely at Cardiff.

G-BNLW was also decommissioned today, following its arrival from Miami.

So, the BA B747 fleet is now down to 40 aircraft but it seems they may have as many as 15 of this model in storage.
