It has been very obvious that there are a lot of errors and omissions in the new mapping service within Apple iOS. Here at Pinkfroot our own local airport does not show up on the map!
We are told that Apple are working hard to fix the errors and they clearly have a massive task on their hands.
In the early days of Google maps we also saw many issues but over time, with some exceptions, they now provide a superb mapping service.
We know that Apple are listening and will review, and ultimately fix, the errors reported.
So.... Here is how to help them do it....
A search for Birmingham Airport finds just the US airport!
The UK airport, BHX/EGBB, is not found at all!
Typing Birmingham airport, England gets close but still no airport - the satellite image shows that we are in the right place!
We've taken some screenshots of the steps required to report the issue. Please note these are context sensitive so the options may be different depending on how you get to them.
The screenshots also show two other common examples of error reporting - for an incorrect address and a missing location.

We don't expect Apple to get this fixed straight away but hopefully by telling them at least they know what needs to be fixed!
