Can anybody tell me whether Planefinder will be available and work on the Kindle Fire HD.  I get confused over the various sources of Apps and I unerstand that on Kindle I have to download apps from Amazon or can I just get them from the Pinkfroot site or Google Play

Hello Trevor,

Hopefully soon.  Unfortunately the Kindle Fire HD has no access to Google maps and until recently Amazon provided no alternative to using maps in apps.

Hope this helps,

Lee

I've now written off the Kindle Fire HD because of the inability to easily access all Android Apps.

Switching my attention to the Google Nexus 7

A few questions

Presumably my Planefinder phone app will work on a Nexus 7 or I can use the Web version.

Some Android apps have tablet versions why?  Are there limitations on using the phone version?
