Home of Plane Finder, Ship Finder and more

Hi, this is my first question on the forum, and I have done a search so please bear with me if this has been asked before;

When using firefox (or probably any PC/Mac based browser) to view ship finder, I'm seein a number small black callout boxes with white numbers inside them - they appear anywhere, including over land and when you click on them, they take you to that area on the map, but there is nothing to indicated what they relate to - can anyone help satisfy my curiosity?

Many thanks

Hi Bill,

Thanks for posing the question here.

These black boxes indicate the number of vessels in the area.

If you zoom in the map the boxes should start to disappear and individual vessels appear.

In very busy areas we may show a few of the number boxes before the zoom removes these too.

I hope that helps.

Mark
