Home of Plane Finder, Ship Finder and more

Brand new to the site so this subject may already have been aired. I have noticed that an airplane symbol North of Derby  with flight number EMAB and another just by Coalville in Leicestershire with 00000 are shown as 0 speed and 0 height. Having checked on Multimap I can safely assume that they are not on airfields and hopefully not crashed. Are these some kind of test installations?

Hi John,

Yes this is a test system by the authorities.  We don't filter it out as it is still ADS-B and it starts conversations!

Hope that helps,

Lee

Thanks for the positive and quick response Lee. Are there any others in the UK.

That is the one that always stands out, some crop up from time to time in that area but that one is always there.  I believe you can go see it and there is a large comms tower!
