Has just been diverted back to the UK, took a long way round to get to LHR and appears to have overflown the runway 27R when 27L is the landing runway at 850 ft but has now disappeared from Planefinder

Hi Trevor,

We don't currently have ground level data for LHR hence the issue with accurate plotting as the aircraft went out of range of the nearest feed.

Sorry about that.

Interesting Mark.  I've just run playback and it stops showing AAL215 at Kew.   But when I was watching it live what was strange was that the aircraft went the whole length of the runway at 850 ft which maybe because you don't show below that but when it got to the end of the runway it carried on for at least a couple of miles.

Why do we see some aircraft taxying of there is no ground level tracking?
