Home of Plane Finder, Ship Finder and more

Hello,

First time user.

Really a super program.

I'm a retired Engr., and very interested in Plane and also Ship tracking, etc.

Will blame it on being in my 70's now, but would like to ask about the following,

which I am a bit confused about.

Am running PlaneFinder on my Desktop PC.

Have never paid any $ for registration, etc.

Seems to run just fine.

Are there any features that are disabled, etc., on this free version ?

I see no place on the site to purchase a "full" version. Is there ?

Is it that it is totally free for my Desktop, but if I want to run it on my iPad, I have to

purchase the APP to enable me to do so ?

    (same answers for ShipFinder ?)

If anyone could explain this for me, would be most appreciative.

What else should I probably be asking as a brand new user; what else should I know

about using, etc. ?

Thanks,

Bob

Bob,
The pc/website version is free. The App must be purchased for your iPad,iPod or iPhone. Having the app on a mobile device makes using Planefinder so much more fun. I have recently retired and enjoy watching and identifying planes over my house, or the high level contrails.
I imagine by purchasing the program, you help support the upkeep on the servers, and the placement of receivers in new locations.
