Considering nearly every other flight tracking company out there using non ADS-B data has about a 5+ minute delay in data availability, I am amazed at how "real time" the info from Plane Finder HD really is.
Something I was pondering though. I was watching a plane on Planefinder.net that was going to be passing directly overhead and noticed that the position info between the website and the iPad app was off by a bit. Measuring out the distance between what website and app were displaying showed about 15 miles, or roughly 2 minutes at this particular aircraft's speed.
I wouldn't imagine there would be a delay in data on the apps and perhaps this is latency in my network but wanted to ask if this has been seen before? Obviously I don't need anything more precise and for viewing visually, it's as spot on as it needs to be. Just curious. Really enjoying this app either way!

Hi Aaron,
The data should be the same in both but sometimes it can drift. Refresh rates can play a part although 2 minutes is higher than we would expect! I'll look out for this too to see if I can work out why that happened.
It is really good to know that you are enjoying the app and can see the difference between ours and the delayed data services.
We'll try our best to keep improving them too.
Regards,
Mark
