Plane Finder Live Flight Radar App

Want to know what planes are flying overhead? Wonder where they are going? Want to see your friends and family in the air?

Or maybe you are just interested in aviation, planes, flights or air traffic control.

With unrivalled global coverage our flight radar covers everywhere from Australia to Europe, the USA and Asia.

Download Plane Finder from the App Store:

Plane Finder flight radar app covers most major regions across the globe providing virtually real time information on aircraft in the USA, Canada, Australia, Brazil, Europe, Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia, Russia and many more locations.

You can check our live map at planefinder.net to see the very latest coverage 24 hours a day.

The following images show just some of the features available (These are from the iPhone and iPod version).

Plane Finder is so simple to use that you can simply open up the app and get instant results. We know of active users from 9 to 90 years of age - maybe there are even younger and older ones!

Look into Plane Finder a little deeper and you will see a wealth of features and options that let you customize the app for exactly how it best suits you.

Taxi drivers (professional and family!), plane spotters and air crew for example will love the personalised alerts feature that lets you know when a flight or plane is passing a certain point.

Settings allow you to control exactly what you want to see and how you want to see it. For example you can choose what you want displayed on the plane labels, whether you want them bright or even whether you want them on the screen at all.

Settings will also let you chose map type and how the screen behaves - do you want it following the plane or to stay still - in either case the planes will be moving in real time just like a flight radar!

More advanced settings enable you to select ICAO or IATA codes, your preferred map type, choose whether you want to display any current Volcanic Ash Clouds and much more.

Search is another powerful tool - search across all currently tracked aircraft or just on your map view - by flight number or tail number / aircraft reg - it's up to you.

Plane Finder also includes bookmarks - so if you want to zoom into JFK and then hop across to LAX or see the whole of the USA or move across the world to Asia then just set up bookmarks to switch effortlessly between them.

In addition to the flight radar maps Plane Finder enables you to find out much more about the aircraft and flight.

The details screen in the app shows a photo of the aircraft - select this and you can usually scroll between more than one photo for most planes.

You can view the photos in portrait or landscape too.

The app photos are interesting and varied - these are sent to us by a wide range of people including professional aviation photographers, people using the app and plane spotters.

You can even join in and upload your own pictures!

The amazing level of detail in Plane Finder includes flight number, route information and facts and figures on the aircraft.

This includes details of the current flight including departure airport, destination airport, altitude, speed, plane type, number of engines, Airline, country, hexcode and more!

For most planes we include stunning artwork too - this can be either in the airlines livery or the standard manufacturer logos.

Quick access icons at the top of the details page enable you to share the information to Facebook, Twitter and email and to save to your photo album. These options are great if you see something really interesting that you want to share or look up later.

A history icon also enables you to look at the routes that we have tracked the aircraft for over the last few months - it is amazing just how far these aircraft travel in such a short period of time!

Here at pinkfroot we work hard to make Plane Finder an enjoyable experience however you use the app.

We hope that you enjoy both the Plane Finder apps and the planefinder.net website.
