"US Navy E-6s often have GOTOFMS in the callsign field of their ModeS messages.  Not sure why, looks like some sort of automated message - FMS being, I think, Flight Management System. E-6s are Boeing 707 based airborne command post aircraft…"

Hello,Love the planefinder.net website, and the iPad and Android apps, as I have purchased both.I have often seen the GOTOFMS tag on a plane as the "flight #" on numberous occasions.Can someone give me some info as to the origin of GOTOFMS and why it would be used?As a side note, I am in the process of purchasing an ADS-B receiver so I can add to the fun here on planefinder.net.
