Airport Codes

Hi there,I cannot seem to find a setting in Plane Finder to change the airline codes, for example, I see BA, EI and U2 instead of BAW, EIN and EZY/EZS. Am I missing something or am I not able to…Continue

Hi there.I just yesterday replaced my iPhone 4S due to the sleep/wake button failing to give any tactile response and I realised that I wasn't getting any Plane Finder alerts through. I backed…Continue

"Also, there aren't too many BA long haul flights in and out of Gatwick, they're all G-YMM* 777-200ERs. You'd have to get to Gatwick bright and early for BA and VS flights because the last VS leaves for KMCO at 1300 and the last BA…"

"I have found the solution; if I select Callsign on the Display setting, it changes the two-letter code from i.e. US732 to AWE732 when an aircraft is highlighted. The first screenshot shows the two-letter airline code, while the second one shows the…"

Lost All Of My Alerts

Hi there.I just yesterday replaced my iPhone 4S due to the sleep/wake button failing to give any tactile response and I realised that I wasn't getting any Plane Finder alerts through. I backed everything up on iTunes as I was supposed to do, then restored it as normal. The only things I had to do were to replace the music and re-enter passwords and change over accounts. However, the last time I replaced my iPhone 4S, the alerts were kept with the application somehow and didn't get erased when…See More

Flight PAL190, RXS-MNL on RP-C8600 (Takeoff)

"I should think a lot of airlines will still allow photography onboard aircraft, but rules may have changed slightly changed for, as you said, the Olympics. When I flew on BAW269 and BAW286, I asked the crew if photography was allowed and they all…"

Flight PAL190, RXS-MNL on RP-C8600 (Takeoff)

"Bet you wouldn't be allowed to do that at Heathrow during the Olympics :-) Of course earlier on this week an 11 year old kid boarded a plane on his own with no paperwork at all and flew London to Rome. God help us. Great video btw. Sound is…"

Advice for eBay Purchase

Hi there.I have bought a model aircraft from virginfans, an ebay seller. It was a 1:400 Gemini Jets Philippine Airlines A320, RP-C8615. I received the model, but on closer inspection, there were at least two faults with it. The nose landing gear was bent and the port side registration was slightly rubbed off as if the tampo didn't adhere properly. I mailed the seller back, explaining that the model wasn't as what was described. I first blamed it on the postal services, either HK Post or Royal…See More

Ripoffs at Airports

Hi there.I thought to bring up this topic after I have been an attempted victim at being severely ripped off at an airport… naming Bahrain International as the worst culprit. When I was waiting in the departure lounge for my flight in 8 hours, I decided to get a bite to eat at McDonald's, since it was the only restaurant there which wasn't charging an arm, leg and spleen for a starter course. I looked at the prices and they were all in Bahrain Dinars, lower than the Sterling in value. 1.000 BHD…See More

Kenneth Frost replied to Kenneth Frost's discussion G-EUNB, BAW9270, EGLC-EGKK?
"Ah I see. Since adding BAW9270 to my list, I have seen it appear quite frequently and operating different aircraft/routes, so it seems it is a flight number for, as you said, ferry flights or maintenance. Thanks!"

Darryl Morrell replied to Kenneth Frost's discussion G-EUNB, BAW9270, EGLC-EGKK?
"BA flights starting with 9 are normally test or ferry flights for maintenance. The baby buses based at London City go to Gatwick for theirs so thats why you saw it Darryl"
