Royal Caribbean Cruise Ends Over Vomiting Bug

Holidaymakers have had their Caribbean cruise cut short after hundreds of passengers and crew members contracted a vomiting bug.

The Royal Caribbean ship was forced to dock in New Jersey two days early after 600 of the 4,215 people on board suffered vomiting and diarrhoea.



The decision to end the cruise came after officials from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) boarded the 15-deck Explorer of the Seas during its US Virgin Islands stop.

Dreamliner Grounded As Smoke Pours From Plane

A Boeing 787 Dreamliner has been grounded after white smoke was spotted billowing from the plane, in the latest in a series of problems that have plagued the model.

Japan Airlines said cockpit warning lights on the plane indicated potential problems with the main battery and charger, and said a battery cell appeared to be leaking.

US Passenger flight lands at wrong airport

A Southwest Airlines flight from Chicago is under investigation after it landed at the wrong airport seven miles from its intended destination.

Flight 4013, carrying 124 passengers and five crew members, was scheduled to fly from Chicago's Midway International Airport to Branson Airport, Missouri.



But the Boeing 737-700 landed at Taney County Airport instead, on a runway half the size of it proper destination.

Cessna 501 Citation 1/SP N452TS Accident.

Sadly this aircraft has come down at Trier in Germany with the loss of all souls after departing Shoreham EGKA Airport 12.1.2014. Please see uploaded photo. I had some photo work at the airport and took the opportunity to take some shots for myself, the aircraft looked good in the sunshine on Saturday but today is a sad day.

On another note - other cruise ships will be going to Liverpool instead of Southampton if the city doesn't sort their traffic out soon.

Antarctica: Shokalskiy Rescue Bid Launched

The latest attempt to rescue the passengers on a research ship trapped by Antarctic ice since Christmas Eve has resumed after being delayed by ice.

They were being flown by helicopter from the MV Akademik Shokalskiy to an ice floe next to an Australian icebreaker, and then taken by a small boat to the ship.
