Well in summary thank you for all the feedback but you seem to be enjoying them!
A couple of questions have cropped up so I though it would be best to summarise some of the common mistakes and how not to set up alerts. If you wanted to see how to set up alerts then see my last blog post which gave some pointers on it.
A lot of people have asked about squawk codes and had never really heard of them until now! Instead of me rambling on here is a nice Wikipedia entry with all of them in.

Also from the support e-mails we are also seeing people enter airlines like "British Airways" into the lists. This will result in no alerts as it is based on the flight number. Therefore in this instance "BAW" is correct, this will alert on any British Airways aircraft in the area you specify.
Also there has been similar entries in the type code with people entering "Boeing 747" into the box when again that needs to be "B74".
There is some brief help text when you create an alert so please take a few minutes and read the example to see if yours will work. The key to remember is only enter the search criteria into the box. Do not type any extra text at all!
We have sent just under 50,000 alerts in the few days the feature has been out and this is continuing to increase day on day! Any questions on creating alerts either mail us on support@pinkfroot.com or post on the forums and we can all help out.
We're proud to announce the first ever 3D plane tracking apps!
