Woke up early to a beautiful sunny day here on the South Coast of England.
A quick look at Ship Finder showed me that there were lots of interesting vessels heading by in the next hour or so including some that we didn't have pictures of.
After a brisk walk I got nice and close...
Err - this is what I saw...
I'm not too sure that audio clips really work for ship spotting!!
That fog horn is Ice Crystal though!
Luckily after quite a bit more walking the fog did start to clear!
This is CMA CGM Chopin coming our of the fog bank...
I did see this on Ship Finder too...!!
Humboldt Rex did a bit of a U turn there!! CMA CGA Chopin is behind the word Rex in that image!
Anyway - thoroughly enjoyed my long walk today and did manage to upload three pictures to pinkfroot!

Comment by Steve Hood on March 20, 2012 at 13:34 Great blog, The distance on the map always looks closer...well does to me anyway, a few times Ive driven down to Barton on sea as ive noticed a few containers going past the needles, only to find when i get there there about as big as a ...well very small thing..lol
Ill look out for you next time Im down Calshot, now I know where your viewpoint is , one day im sure we will end up uploading the same ships, Ill have the one side, youll have the other haha :)
