ANNA MARRA (IMO: 8901860) is a Livestock Carrier registered and sailing under the flag of Panama. Her gross tonnage is 40347 and deadweight is 18909. ANNA MARRA was built in 1990 by HYUNDAI HEAVY INDUSTRIES. ANNA MARRA length overall (LOA) is 181.54 m, beam is 31.4 m and maximum draught is 9 m. Her container capacity is 1800TEU. The ship is operated by GLOBAL RADIANCE SHIP MGMT.

 

When I photographed the Anna Marra alongside in Fremantle Port on August 20, 2016 she was still known as Awassi Express. Her name change took effect on October 1, 2018.

      Yes. Whilst I live quite close to the port, I am lucky to not be subject to the prevailing wind and hence the el sheep cologne.

    I've never even heard of a livestock carrier before, at least not in current context. I guess I'd assumed that they'd have already been processed and packaged by the time they were plying the sea lanes.

      No the sheep or cattle as the case may be are very much alive when they depart. Their health however upon arrival in the middle east may be a different story.
