July 7, 2019. "Cape Rescue" – one of Canada Coast Guard’s Cape Class SAR Lifeboats – docked at Cobourg Harbour, Lake Ontario. (Official Number: 834891, Call Sign CG8082, no IMO) Built of aluminum by Victoria Shipyard Ltd., the 48 ft, 21.6 t vessel was launched in 2010. She is powered by two Caterpillar - C12 geared diesel engines, and is named after Cape Rescue on Cornwallis Island, near Resolute Bay in the Arctic.
