    • Thanks Kelvin - can you use the IMO to get the pic to appear on ShipFinder - I thought it was mmsi only?
    • I wish I knew the answer to both Howard's and Andrew's questions! I only ever used Ship Finder on my Samsung mobile and this used to give a virtual thumbnail size image of a vessel that was showing up on AIS. Now it doesn't show the image, just the ship's data.
      Trying (for the first time!) Ship Finder on my PC, I found I could search for a ship using the IMO number but no photographs there either!.
    • Hi Kelvin;
      I use Shipfinder on my iPad... it WILL show a thumbnail alongside the info of an AIS return IF an image has been uploaded against that MMSI or IMO; if there's no image uploaded, you'll only see a blue panel...
      I've also just tested Shipfinder on my Mac... E.g.; Saga Sapphire is currently in Southampton as we speak, and I see images on both my iPad and my Mac. If I then click on a thumbnail, I can see a gallery of images.
      The 'gallery' on mobile apps appears to be limited to the 5 most current images, while the PC/Mac 'full' service appears to hold an unlimited number of images...

    • I use Ship finder on the PC Kelvin and if I do a search using IMO it takes me to the ship with pictures in a pop up box.
    • I just went back to Ship Finder on PC and lo and behold! Images! However, these were images of other vessels; when I checked earlier, guess which ship I was searching on? Yep. Andrew's Spirit of France! Apparently no other photos uploaded yet.
  • Thank you. How do I get the photo to display in Shipfinder?
    • Hi Andrew - It will show up on Shipfinder a day or 2 after approval on here as long as you have it the tag box which you have - However I think the mmsi number you have is incorrect. In fact it is shown in Dover and Hamburg?? (18:37 wed) Both show the same ship photos. Give it a day or so and relook the Spirit of France in Dover is mmsi 209490000. Very odd !
  • Great first shot Andrew - welcome to our happy little gang
