The government announced recently that the RN's new carrier, HMS Queen Elizabeth, would be arriving in her home port of Portsmouth around 19th/20Th August.
I wonder? I have just spotted it on AIS south of Weymouth, pointed directly at the Isle of Wight and making 24 knots. It does claim to be heading for Rosyth but doesn't that seem silly? It would seem CSCL Jupiter failed to make the turn in the River Schelde at Bath (Bath near Antwerp).
The ship, container ship 150,853grt was leaving Antwerp, failed to make the turn in the direction of Walsoorden and ran aground.
At the time I write, it is being assisted by no fewer than 10 tugs and it looks as though another is en route.
