Boeing warns of engine risk on 747-8s, Dreamliners

Boeing advised airlines on Friday about a risk of engine icing problems on its new 747-8 and 787 Dreamliner planes with engines made by General Electric, urging 15 carriers to avoid flying them near high-level thunderstorms.

Dreamlifter Pilot Confused East And West

The pilot who landed a super-sized Boeing 747 cargo plane at the wrong airport mixed up east and west as he talked to air controllers and said he could not read his own handwriting.

The aircraft came down safely at Colonel James Jabara Airport in Kansas, about nine miles from McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita where it was supposed to land.

Huge Jumbo Lands At Wrong Kansas Airport

A huge Boeing 747 Dreamlifter cargo plane has landed at a tiny airport by mistake, the planemaker has admitted.

The plane landed safely at Colonel James Jabara Airport, about nine miles from McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita where it was supposed to land.

Boeing spokesman Marc Birtel says the Dreamlifter was bound for McConnell because it is adjacent to Spirit AeroSystems, a major supplier for the Dreamliner.

Thomson Dreamliner

Saw the Thomson Dreamliner (G-TUIA) at LGW (London Gatwick) to SSH (Sharm El Sheikh) on Sunday 10th November, only caught one picture as was being rushed over it to board my flight.
