We are once again tracking the Cargo ship Thor Liberty after a recent brush with the Finnish authorities regarding missile smuggling!
Found on board were 69 Patriot missiles that should have been going from Emden, Germany to South Korea!
Thor Liberty was in fact found to be heading for China.
We understand that the Captain, First Mate and Cargo are still in custody in Finland but the vessel and crew have now been released.

Whilst here at pinkfroot we may not have all of the resources of NORAD tracks Santa we too have seen unusual airspace activity on planefinder.net!
Right now this is centred at Santa HQ up at the North Pole but we suspect there will be activity across the world on Christmas Eve!

2012 promises to be a very interesting year for plane and ship spotting.
We are expecting the UK airspace to be extremely busy with many regional airports seeing increased use and rare visitors. In addition we are likely to see unusual flight routes as no fly zones etc will be in place.
Vessel traffic will also increase with many Olympic activities taking place on the water.
