Hi John,

i am lucky enough to of been 5 times now, the first being in 2009, 2010 being the most memorable as it ws my 50th, my daughters 18th and my sons 16th, so quite a big year, i rented a 7bedroom villa called villa Josephine, and invited 11 friends to come along. I asked my friends to pay for their own flights as they were about £850 a head, and i picked up the tab for the villa, i also decided to treat em all to a couple of days out the first being a trip to st Barts, two twin otters, amazing landing, 20min flight from tncm. the second trip was a day out on a catamaran, to a small uninhabited cay called dog island to the north of st maarten & anguilla, the latter being a british colony, stunning caribbean island, lemon sharks if your lucky, & great snorkeling. 2011 was good also as there were 4 warbirds from the states, they were operating out of st maarten every day, and displaying over st barts, the planes being a kittyhawk mustang corsair, and mitchell, got it all on hdeff, so could prob get a copy to you sometime in the future.

As for st maarten, its a small island half french half dutch, you can get round it in a couple of hrs by car, fantastic beaches & cuisine, the only draw back the accomadation is very expensive, i  could also point you to some accomadation if you decide to go in the future, the flights we take as i love my planes, are from Birminham >Paris> TNCM. or

Birmingham >Schippol TNCM, either A340, or 747/400, A340 being better in my view. But the absolute best bit for me is standing on maho beach as one of the big heavies almost knock you off your feet as it passes overhead, its gear just   meters above.

Anyways i do rabbit a bit, speak to you soon.
