250 ton Steam Crane

Liverpool - River Mersey 25/7/21

  Built in 1937 to lift lock gates on the Manchester ship canal. Has been docked in Runcorn docks for many years unused. Was being transferred to Newcastle Australia (says ais) but eventually on arrival Newcastle UK ! Hopefully for preservation. Not self powered see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VE3dTo0cqdU.

    Thanks guys. Is a historic relic! I last saw the tug towing it on ais in Sunderland or Hartlepool - cant remember.
