    Good shot Ian - Barra Airport is unique, being the only one in the world where scheduled flights use a tidal beach as the runway

      Thank you Hans. It is a unique airport as it is the only airport in the world that uses the beach as the runway. In the summer we get two or three flights a day, all Twin Otters. You also get the occasional small privately owned planes coming in. Only a one hour flight from Glasgow and we’ll worth the experience
