I was on the street at The Stockyards, an historic preserved area of Fort Worth, when I heard the sound of powerful radials. Climbing out of Meacham Airport came B29 Superfortress "Fifi". She is one of two airworthy B29s and belongs to the Commemorative Air Force. She was rescued from a range in the 70s and restred to flight. Between 2006 and 2010 she was grounded whilst replacement engines were built using parts from Skyraider and Flying Boxcar engines flown in Vietnam.
Was great to catch a glimpse of her glinting in the sun.
