These trawlers catch pelagic fish. Immediately after being caught, we cool and we sort the fish. The entire process, from catch to frozen storage, takes place at sea. We invest in our ships to ensure that they are fitted with the most modern freezing equipment, adapted to the highest environmental standards.
Most of a freezer trawler is taken up by these freezing systems for preserving the quality of the fish. In fact, 60% of the total area of our freezer trawlers is designated for sorting, processing, freezing and storing the catch. That explains the size of the ships. Only 24% of the ship is intended for actual fishing.
