  • Editing the tag worked - thank you!
    • Now you can add images to your heart's content :-)
  • Nice one Andrew
  • Just to add to the confusion... interestingly, if you search for 'spirit of france' on this my.pinkfroot.com site it only returns the old images for 235082717 :-)

    • Now then; I just searched this site for 9533816 (IMO for this ship). The old images are Colin Smith's from 2015. That 235xxx MMSI would be valid in 2015 as the ship was still on the UK register at that time with that number.
  • Go into your photo Andrew and edit the tags to the new mmsi. Also change the title to "Sprit Of France", (The other spirit of france is an inland cargo ship) What have you started lol ! I put it in as mmsi 209490000 - new tag - spirit of france
  • Just a thought... I suspect Andrew's image isn't showing because the Tag doesn't recognise the MMSI # and the MMSI appears to be incorrect... In addition, I think the existing tag is being read as one string with the number being part of the name... I suggest editing the image with a Tag of '209490000' or 'MMSI 209490000' and add 'Spirit of France' as a separate tag if required... PS; I did find a return for 235082717 on myshiptracking.com which appears to be the same vessel!
    • Further investigation reveals 235082717 was originally assigned by the UK and the current 209490000 has been assigned to it's new Cypriot flag... A good example of Kelvin's comment about changing MMSI # !!!
  • And this is why I think MMSI is not a good reference to use. 209490000 is the correct number for this vessel but this can, and does, change. MMSI is only a telephone number! Far better to use IMO number which never changes through the whole life of a vessel.
