Eclipse Returning

Shortly after posting this photo, I ran across a short article regarding regional boats of this type (halibut schooners). I haven't been able to confirm anything about the Eclipse in specific, but apparently this type of boat's real heyday was in the early 1930s and they ceased being produced shortly after that. If that's true, then this is really a working antique!

      Actually, it was quite warm! We were just at the tail end of a "Pineapple Express" storm. Lots of moisture still hanging around, but the temps were in the mid- to high-50s (probably 13-15C).
      There's been a lot of localized flooding and the rivers are full of debris because of both erosion and high winds, but cold wasn't part of the problem.
