Empire Sandy, Toronto Harbour

June 30, 2022. The 200 ft. tall ship EMPIRE SANDY, IMO: 5071561, docked at Toronto's Queen's Quay. Built as an Englishman/Larch Deep Sea class tug in the U.K. in 1943 (UK official Number 169167), she was converted to a 740-ton schooner in 1979. Registered in Thunder Bay, Ontario, she is now owned by Nautical Adventures Ltd., and is based at Toronto's Inner Harbour for day sails on Lake Ontario.
