  • Howard - according to an online article from one of the local New Orleans TV stations, the CoNO was built in 1991, used as a casino boat in Rock Island, IL for years, then returned to NO and refurbished as a river cruiser last year (2019). It's operated by the same company that runs the "Natchez" (visible at the left edge in the photo), and competes with the "Creole Queen" as local river tourist cruisers. Farther downstream, along the Algiers shore is the "American Queen", billed as the largest steamboat ever built. According to the company's website, it's not a local boat, it's one of four boats they run as river cruisers similar to the Viking cruises in Europe. I took a shot of it, but may not be worth posting - there's a line of trees between the levee and the boat.
    • Great thanks John. Jusnt need a pic of American Queen now !!
