Zim Kingston with containers on fire off Victoria BC.

The Seaspan Raven and the Maersk Tender and Maersk Trader are dousing the ship with water to cool the fire.

    Just heard that the Sim Kingston lost 106 containers overboard, not 35 as originally reported.

    Yes, I hear the story made international news.

    We've had gale-force winds that have hampered fire fighting and recovery efforts.

    A reminder that serious accidents can happen anywhere.
