In 1971, the RCAF purchased Voodoo 101040 from the United States Air Force. The aircraft flew with 409 ‘Nighthawk’ Squadron, an air defence unit located in Comox, B.C. (hence the hawk image located on the tail). It also flew with 416 Squadron in CFB Chatham, NB, which became the last unit in the world to fly the Voodoo.
