MV Perth - 2013-06-29 - 001

Built in the early 1900's commenced work as S.S. Perth in 1914 operating as a ferry across the Swan River between South Perth and the City at Barrack St jetty.

Steam engine replaced with diesel in 1970, taken out of service in 1982.

Restored as a community project in 2009 and currently located in a pen in Jervoise Bay, Henderson.

Currently the oldest working wooden boat in Western Australia. The hull is Oregon & Jarrah with Nyatoh superstructure. It has 2 steering stations with a rudder at each end so no need to turn around when operating as a ferry.

No MMSI but nice to look at.
