N667FR 'Clark W.' is an homage to the 1983 National Lampoon movie 'Vacation.' Chevy Chase played Clark W. Griswold. Frontier's first A320-200 (ceo) N227FR was named 'Grizwald' (with an A) probably as an homage to the Grizzly Bear on the tail. At any rate, there are now Clark W., and Grizwald named airplanes.
A fair number of the Frontier names are plays on words. Some subtle, some obvious (depending on your age and breadth of knowledge of trivial tid bits), and some requiring a bit of research. Here's a freebie: N367FR Austin the Northern Mockingbird. Austin is the capital of Texas and the Northern Mockingbird is the state bird. No coincidence there. Have fun with the rest.
