  I won. I was ready and waiting with the camera at the edge of the channel. Got pics coming and going. That spot is a crossroad when I am heading over to the island for a dip in the briny. You don't want to know what I ended up doing over there...!!!

  In short...the plan was to zoom around Cockburn Sound snapping ships as I went. It was very hot so I decided on a quick dip and a sarnie at Garden Island. On entering Herring Bay I heard someone calling me over. It was my next door neighbours on their cruiser and asking me to join them for lunch. Instead of my sarnie, it was cheeses and pate, garlic prawns and salad with cakes and coffee for afters. Also buckets of prosecco spritzer and beer which didn't help. By the time I left it was getting late, the sea breeze was up and an evening thunderstorm was building. It was a real rush to snap any ships at all.
