      I think this image was taken using a Canon 1dx mk2 with a 100-400 zoom lens and a 1.4 converter. The lens was equivalent to 560mm. It would have been a better photo but there was a lot of heat haze.

      I like Andre use a 150-600mm and have tried a 2x converter but have stopped using it as I find cropping and post processing gives a better result. I regularly take up to 4 miles and nearly all my shots are 1/2 - 3/4 mile.

      Hi Dennis I have the same problem with the heat haze with my Sigma 150-600mm lens with a 2X Sigma converter.
