The North Jetty of the Columbia River has been off-limits to the general population for a couple of years.
Repair and reconstruction (and some re-contouring of the close environs) has been going on in that time span. My last visit to the area was just a couple of months ago, so I was surprised to find the entire area open to the public.
This was shot from nearly a mile "out to sea" as the Schubert headed NW into her final turn out of the Columbia River Bar.
