My Final Photo, at Least For Now

Having now posted to ShipFinder/Pinkfroot photos of some 501 ships that were previously marked "No Photo Available," I've decided to move onto other hobbies.  It has been a lot of fun watching for ships that had no previous photo, and posting them to the web.  WIth "my" fleet of 501 ships now sailing in various locations around the world, I leave it to others to fill in more of the photographic gaps.

I want to acknowledge a few friends I've made along the way, including the Smizers (who live nearby and have posted far more ship photos than I have) and of course "Howard of Liverpool," whom I'm sorry to have never met, but who always takes the time to comment on my photos -- whether they were noteworthy or not!

I leave open the possibility that I will post a photo or two sometime in the future, if an unusual subject sails into my neighborhood. It's been a very fun hobby, and it motivated me to learn quite a bit about commercial shipping vessels.

With this photo of tanker "BRUGGE," MMSI 205184000, heading out under the Golden Gate Bridge, I sign off and send good wishes to everyone reading this caption and adding to the growing documentation of the world's ships.

    • Thank you for your comments and feedback over these past 5 years, Howard. Your comments did let me know that my posted photos were indeed seen by others, and perhaps made at least a tiny contribution to the information available online about commercial vessels. I am keeping the door (hatchway?) open to posting additional photos when the opportunity and inspiration strike. Thanks again, and keep up the good work! -Mark
