VQ-BPS was substantially damaged on February 9, 2020 when it undershot on approach to Runway 13 at Usinsk, Russia, touching down in deep snow about 15m short of the runway threshold. Its main undercarriage subsequently failed and the aircraft came to rest on the runway resting on its nose gear and engine nacelles. There were no reported serious injuries to the 6 crew and 94 passengers on board. The accident happened in daylight (1221L) but in IMC; wind 150deg./11kt., gusting to 20kt., visibility 1,100m., overcast ceiling at 1,500ft and temperature -21C.
