June 30, 2022. Seen docked alongside Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (CYZD). On the left, Passenger and Car Ferry DAVID HORNELL, standby vessel for operations between the island airport and Toronto mainland. She was built in 2005 as TCCA 1 and renamed to honour Toronto-born RCAF pilot and World War II ace, Flt-Lt. David Hornell (1910-1944). On the right, single screw tugboat IRON GUPPY, MMSI: 316032594. Built in 2016 by Hike Metals in Ontario, she can beak ice up to 6 inches thick. Both vessels owned and operated by the Toronto Port Authority.
