April 7, 2017. The 200 ft. tall ship “Empire Sandy,” IMO Number 5071561 at berth on the Toronto Waterfront, Lake Ontario awaiting the start of the cruising season. Built as an Englishman/Larch Deep Sea class tug in the U.K. in 1943 (UK official Number 169167), she was converted to a 740 ton schooner in 1979. Registered in Thunder Bay, Ontario, she is now owned by Nautical Adventures Ltd.
