Built in April 1945 (c/n 16354-33102) for the USAAF and transfered to the RAAF under lend/lease agreement as A65-98. Operated extensively from Butterworth, Malaysia between 1964 and 1975 until being transferred to the RAAF Apprentice Training School at Wagga Wagga.Then transferred to the RAAF museum at Point Cook and entered the Australian Aircraft Register as VH-JXD in 1989 and Reregistered as VH-OVM in 1990
